Get Involved!
With all of the sickness and suffering around us sometimes it can be
overwhelming to figure out how to help. But in placing Esthela in our lives, God’s given us-and you- the chance to be that help for one little girl.
In order to adopt Esthela we need to raise $2,000 to complete the adoption plus an
additional $1,500 a month to be able to give Esthela the care she needs.
Will you join us in fighting for Esthela?
Will you join us in giving her an
opportunity to live?

Thanks for helping change Esthela's life!
We are Eddie and Tammy Villavicencio. We volunteer with Youth With A Mission San Diego/Baja in Mexico. We are called to use our gifitings in education and healthcare to advance the kingdom of God. This calling includes adopting Esthela, a girl who is suffering from rejecting a transplanted kidney. We invite you to be a part of our lives as we follow God’s calling.

Our Journey with Esthela
Just a few days ago Eddie and I sat down with Esthela's transplant doctor, Dr. Ismael. We spoke to him about Esthela's issues and found out some very harding truth.
Esthela's kidney is in chronic failure. Why did this happen? The doctor's best guess is because it wasn't taken care of well enough. While Eddie and I were gone doing DTS in Minnesota and spending the summer with my family she was hospitalized a few times and had trouble taking her medication at the right times. This is the most likely reason for the kidney failure. He says the kidney should have lasted 15-20 years.
Within a year Esthela will most likely have to go on dialysis. When that happens she will be able to be put on the list for a new kidney. The doctor said that if Esthela stays with her mother that no doctor will do the transplant because if the kidney failed due to not being taken care of then a second one will as well. We told him that we are wanting to adopt Esthela and he said that if that was the case then he would do everything possible to make sure that Esthela got another kidney. He wanted us to be aware that there was still a chance of the second kidney to be rejected as well.
We realize that all of our work still could result in Esthela suffering and, possibly passing away, but we know that it is the only chance that Esthela has.
Please be in prayer for us as we continue to work towards the adoption of Esthela
